Music: Count Us In

This program, now in its 14th year, is Australia’s largest free school music program. It exists to assist teachers in delivering quality classroom music, and celebrates the importance and value of music education in schools.

Wow!

Where do I start?

The last few weeks have been extremely busy in the Music department. On 5 November, the school assembled in the undercover area for a nationwide Celebration of Music, Music: Count Us In. The celebration assembly featured a heart-warming performance by the choir, instrumental students and the whole school joining in the live stream to simultaneously sing the 2020 song, You Wont Bring Us Down

Below is a video of the Caralee CS Choir performing Raining on the Rock as part of the Celebration of Music.

On 19 November, the Choir attended the Massed Choir Festival Sing Day at the Perth Concert Hall. The performance showcased all the hard work put in by the talented students and made me incredibly proud.

For the remainder of the term, students will be practising and fine-tuning a display of their skills for the benefit of fellow classmates.  Music is definitely alive at Caralee!
