Happiness Appears Community Art Trail

'Creative expressions in public space have been lifting spirits world-wide during the COVID-19 pandemic.'

Happiness Appears is a pop-up community art trail, made by the Melville community, and ex-Caralee students are represented.  Vote for your favourite artwork now!

The Happiness Appears community art trail is happening 27-28 June, providing the opportunity for up to 20 community members, artist/s and groups to be funded with a $500 fee to bring their creative idea into reality within Melville’s neighbourhoods and spread happiness! The community votes for their favourites and the winners receive cash prizes.

We are pleased that ex-Caralee CS students, Mya Hathaway and Nathan Burnby are represented.

Vote for your favourite artwork

Voting is open from 8.00 am on Friday, 26 June to 5.00 pm on Sunday 5 July 2020.

Find your favourite artwork and share it on Instagram #creativemelville #happinessappearsmelville

The winning artists will receive a first prize of $1,000, second prize of $500 and third prize of $250. Winners announced Tuesday, 7 July 2020.

Through this project, we recognise the importance of connecting with our local spaces, places and each other in creative ways. We are encouraging everyone with ideas to apply, from family teams, friends, community groups, school groups, individuals or groups of artists from hobbyist to professionals.
