Charlie De Bruyn was one of 14 winners of the Coles Bag Design Competition. He was one of the youngest, and the only winner outside NSW and Victoria!
“I am happy that I won this competition. It was so exciting to go to Melbourne and get presented with my prize. I am glad that I won $5,000 for the school”.
“My bag design had to be something to do with ‘eat fresh’, so I chose my two favourite fruits and used acrylics to paint them. My design is a picture of a watermelon and a pine-apple. They are exploding because when you eat these fruits, it is like an explosion of flavour in your mouth. I am proud that my bag can be bought all over Australia. It will be on a cooler bag and you will be able to get it in June”. - Charlie
